FAMILY FOOT CLINIC, S.C.
CELEBRATES 25 YEARS IN BUSINESS
In July of 1984, Family Foot Clinic, S.C. opened for business on the corner of 4th and Main Streets in Fond du Lac with Dr. Ian Furness. Being the sole doctor, Dr. Furness had been practicing as a podiatrist in the United States Air Force at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia and wanted to return to Wisconsin to start private practice.
Since then the practice has grown to a four-doctor group working out of a modern new facility that was designed and built as a dedicated foot clinic located at 21 S. Marr Street in Fond du Lac. Furness practices with Drs. Thomas Sheridan, Jonathon Stroebel, and Michael DeGere.
"Our reputation brings us patients which we draw from all over the state of Wisconsin," said Furness. "Most of our patients come to us by word of mouth and physician referral. We do very little advertising."
All four doctors are Board Certified Surgeons and have a combined total of over 70 years of experience and all four are Wisconsin natives; each having grown up and attending college in the state. In fact, Sheridan and DeGere are Fond du Lac natives and attended high school here.
"Our group offers complete full-scope medical care for the foot and ankle" said Dr. Thomas Sheridan. "We are constantly looking for ways to excel at what we do. We pride ourselves at being leaders in the profession employing the latest technology and utilizing the most advanced State of the Art techniques. Our patients and the medical community at large recognize this, which is why we have such a widespread and exceptional reputation."
